Biography

 

  Blending the brilliance of the flute with the sonority of the classical guitar, Patricia and Steven Evans have created a duo that transcends their individual talents. This unique sound reflects their distinctive personalities and backgrounds as well as their abiding love for music and each other.

Born of Cherokee and Scotch-Irish/Welsh ancestry, Steven Lee Evans has performed in virtually every musical style including blues, jazz and classical. Steven graduated from California State University at Northridge with a Bachelor of Music degree.

Japanese-American, Patricia Leilani Evans (née Horio) was born in Hawaii. After receiving her early musical training in Honolulu, Patricia came to Southern California, earning the Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the University of Redlands.

Married on Easter Sunday in 1979, Patricia and Steven have toured extensively, captivating audiences in Europe, Hawaii, California and throughout Oregon. The ambiance they create is ideal for chamber concerts, special occasion celebrations, seasonal festivities, business functions, weddings and receptions, indoors and alfresco.
